ArtSci Officer

Society for Creative Anachronism

Arts and Sciences Office

Loch Gryffyn

Medieval Arts and Sciences are an expansive subject to cover.  To list but a few, are leatherworking, blacksmithing, metallwork, lampwork, stained glass, brewing, embroidery, fiber arts, sewing, and cooking.

My purpose in this position is to expose the members to as many different cultures, and the arts and crafts thereof, as possible.  It is to remove any feelings of intimidation that folks just starting out tend to have.

I have included most of the ArtSci Officer's reports with the class information (left menu), and will be adding the others as soon as I can locate them, so that the office is transparent, that is, so that there is no mystery behind what I do.  This is to make it very easy for folks to understand the position, my goals, and motivations, and for my successor to have little difficulty in taking it on.

If there is anything that you wish help in pursuing, please feel free to call on me.  It provides me feedback as to what the group's interests are, and hopefully, I can assist you.  I can be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
